Step 1: Open Your Underexposed Photo in Photoshop
The first step is to open your underexposed photo in Photoshop. Once you have opened the photo, you should see the layers panel on the right side of the screen.
Step 2: Add a Fill Layer
Next, you need to add a fill layer to your photo. To do this, go to the Layers panel and click on the “Create a New Fill or Adjustment Layer” button at the bottom of the panel. Select “Solid White Color” from the list of options that appears.
Step 3: Change the Blend Mode
Now that you have added the fill layer, you need to change the blend mode to Soft Light. This blend mode will help to brighten the image and give it more definition. To change the blend mode, go to the Layers panel and then, go to the Blend Mode dropdown menu and select Soft Light.
Step 4: Adjust the Contrast
The next step is to increase the contrast of the photo. To do this, you need to add an adjustment layer for contrast. Go to the Layers panel, click on the “Brightness / Contrast Adjustment layer option and Increase the contrast to +100.
